This early 90’s kitchen was filled with high quality custom cabinets. After an initial consultation we were contracted to provide the upgrade to the finish. Because the layout and storage options were staying the same, combining interesting materials and colors was the key for helping this kitchen stand out.
The customer chose a new island cabinet stained dark mahogany to offset the new bright cabinet color. Take note of this granite counter top and how the neutral earth tone seamlessly blends the painted wall cabinets and the stained island cabinet to make a winning combination.
All the appliances were in good working order so to stay on budget we chose a color that blended with the existing refrigerator and will still look great later when they have to replace it.
We covered all the surfaces then sprayed Pressed Linen color using a semi-gloss sheen. We followed that finish with our antiqued cocoa rub, and finally applied our semi-gloss clear top coat to add depth and enhance the durability to the cabinets.
